水調歌頭       蘇軾(1037-1101)
丙辰中秋，歡飲達旦，大醉，作此篇，兼懷子由

明月幾時有，把酒問青天？
不知天上宮闕，今夕是何年。
我欲乘風歸去，唯恐瓊樓玉宇，高處不勝寒。
起舞弄清影，何似在人間。

轉朱閣，低綺戶。照無眠。
不應有恨，何事長向別時圓？
人有悲歡離合，月有陰晴圓缺，此事古難全。
但願人長久，千里共嬋娟。

Shui Diao Ge Tou     Su Shi (1037-1101)

On the Mid-Autumn Festival of the year Bing Chen, I drank throughout the night. In my drunkenness I wrote this thinking of my younger brother Ziyou

I ask the Heavens with a cup of wine:

When did the full moon first shine?
What year is it tonight in the welkin by your time?
To the moon the wind I wish to ride,
If not for the height and chill there all beyond mankind;
So I begin dancing with the shadow of mine,
Would the pleasure of dancing there be the same as on earth that one finds?
Raring to try be I.

Now on the crimson chambers she shines,

Low into the gracious boudoirs and
Caresses the sleepless eyes;
She should have no spleen. But why?
When people are parting, she always puts on a full smile;
Man rues and rejoices, sunders and reunites,
She waxes and wanes,
We can’t have everything to our wish since olden times,
I just wish that we could live long and healthy,
To share all the beautiful moments together in our lives.
