My
Autumnal Lodging Over the Ba River
Ma Dai (775-869)
The rough wind and rain over Ba Yuan lulls,
As dusk falls there soar many a wild goose
file,Tree leaves of this outland begin to fall,
Sitting solitarily with the lone lamp amidst the chills,
In the empty little garden white dews drizzle,
Living in the wilds in a desolate monk’s neighborhood,
Long laying up behind my wicker stile,
When will I be on His Majesty’s behoof.
