春種一粒粟，秋收萬顆子。
四海無閑田，農夫猶餓死。

Saluting the Farmers (Poem No.1)        Li Shen(772-846)

Plant a seed at the beginning of the vernal spell,

Reap in the following autumn thousands of cereal particles,

All over the country no fields are left idle,

Even that farmers die of starvation is not unusual.
