江月去人只數尺，風燈照夜欲三更。
沙頭宿鷺聯拳靜，船尾跳魚撥剌鳴。

The bright moon in the river
is only a few feet from my boat,
The dim light of the lamp
on my boat tells me the third watch is to approach,
Placidly herons bend sleeping
on the shoal,
Anon a fish splashes on my
stern with a whacking dabble.
