紅箋小字，說盡平生意，

鴻雁在雲魚在水，惆悵此情難寄。
斜陽獨倚西樓，遙山恰對簾鉤，
人面不知何處，綠波依舊東流。

The pink letter sheet is laden with small characters,

All about how all my life for you I care,
But amidst the clouds the wayfaring wild goose soars,
And deep is the fish in the waters,
Who else can serve as the messenger,
Getting my affections for you over,
Bathing in flushes of the setting sun I lean alone on the west tower,
The distant mountains stand like portieres,
Blocking my prospects afar,
Where has the one I care repaired?
Leaving only the azure water to the east raving as ever.
