梅雪爭春未肯降，騷人閣筆費評章。
梅須遜雪三分白，雪卻輸梅一段香。

The plum blossom vies with the snow for vernal grace,

Neither is willing to give way,
Bards muse over the race,
On whiteness the plum blossom loses a whit in shade,
But the snow lacks the whiffs of fragrance the plum blossom waves.
