寒山轉蒼翠,秋水日潺湲。
倚杖柴門外,臨風聽暮蟬。渡頭餘落日,墟里上孤煙。
復值接輿醉,狂歌五柳前。
To Young Scholar Pei Di When I live in Seclusion at Wangchuan Wang Wei (701 -761)
Autumnal dark greenish tints the chilly hills are beginning to show,
More sluggishly every day the autumn waters flow,
Outside the wicker door on my cane I slouch,
Listening to the chirrs of cicadas on the evening breeze float;
Against the setting sun over the jetty I behold
A lone ribbon of cooking smoke rises above the village households;
Jie Yu, the abandoned scholar Pei, is again sloshed,
He sings with abandon in front of Master Five Willows.
