Qing Ping Le       Liu Kezhuang (1187-1269)

On the long gale,
Against raging billows,
I ride the heavenly silver toad up to the welkin through thousand miles of travel,
I once came across in person the fairy Chang’er of the fairy tale,
Her slender figure is a real appeal,
Without sprucing she is ravishing still,
Around the silvery and pearly palace on the moon I’ve aired my heels,
Casting a downward view,
Thither hazily sealed,
Accidentally I shook the osmanthus tree as I’ve drunk my fill,
What a soothing zephyr, the whole world hail.
