何年顧虎頭，滿壁畫滄州，  

赤日石林氣，青天江海流。
錫飛常近鶴，杯渡不驚鷗，   
似得廬山路，真隨惠遠遊。

It’s hard to recall which year he got the deal,

The great painter Gu Hutou painted on this wall a full picture of the Cangzhou vista view,
The radiating sun glows amid the woods and rocks under his brush’s skills,
The boundless heaven merges with the rivers on the horizon in an azure hue,
This magnificent painting has the scenarios of two legendary monks revealed,
The one whose tin staff sped in the sky like cranes flew,
And the one who travelled across the sea in a wooden cup and not even the seagulls knew,
In this painting I seem to have got to Lushan to tread the great monk Huiyuan’s heels.
