棄我去者，昨日之日不可留;

亂我心者，今日之日多煩憂。
長風萬里送秋雁，對此可以酣高樓。
蓬萊文章建安骨，中間小謝又清發。
俱懷逸興壯思飛，欲上青天攬明月。
抽刀斷水水更流，舉杯銷愁愁更愁。
人生在世不稱意，明朝散髮弄扁舟。

Yesterday, the day that abandoned me is gone, can no way be restored,
Today, the day that vexes my mind is plagued with frets and sores,
The long gale sees the autumn wild geese thousands of miles off,
We can well drink convivially on this high tower to these all,
The verve of the great Jian’an masters’ works can be found in your heavenly writings once more,
Of all Xie Tiao is particularly outstanding for his crisp and ingenious genre,
We all share the bold far-reaching aspirations to freely and highly soar,
To reach up to the moon and hold it near and dear;
Cutting the water with a sword, the water just flows faster,
Quenching your woes with wine will only make you woes deeper;
If to you life is not a delightful chapter,
You’d better lead your life with your hair down on a skiff in the exilian manner.
