鵲橋仙    秦觀 (1049 -1100)

纖雲弄巧，飛星傳恨，銀漢迢迢暗渡。

金風玉露一相逢，便勝卻人間無數。
柔情似水，佳期如夢，忍顧鵲橋歸路。
兩情若是久長時，又豈在朝朝暮暮。

Delicate colourful cloudscape changing in fits,

While shooting stars pass messages of sundering sorrow to feed,
The Cowherd and the Girl Weaver tonight cross the lengthy Milky Way stealthily to meet,
Riding the golden winds and treading the crystal jade dews of autumn with each other to seek,
Their yearly affaire d’amour out-romances the myriad love affairs on earth in meed;
Tender love, everlasting as water, so sweet,
Rendezvous, a fond dream soon fleets,
Look not at the Magpie Bridge thither to retreat,
If love is everlasting,
Who cares if we are together with every minute to heed.
